The Horrors Meet the Charlatans

Kevin Holmes July 23, 2010

Way back in the 1990s a band called the Charlatans were causing baggy-trousered youths with floppy hair to mosh to songs like “Jesus Hairdo,” “North Country Boy,” and “One To Another.” Fast forward 15 years, and a band called the Horrors are causing skinny-trousered youths with floppy hair to mosh to songs like “Sea Within A Sea,” “Who Can Say,” and “Sheena Is a Parasite.” The Charlatans are still going strong, not quite rock royalty but definitely nobility. Their latest single, “Love Is Ending,” has been given the remix treatment by Joshua Third’s band the Horrors, turning it into a whirring tunnel of distortion. It’ll be out as a b-side to the original on August 2nd. Have a listen to it below. Above is Josh with the boys in the music video for their track “Who Can Say,” featuring Josh rocking out with one of his custom made guitar peddles.
