Cassette Playa's Eye-Candy

Upcoming Creator Cassette Playa, the fashion label of Carri Mudane, whose eye-catching designs have graced M.I.A., the Klaxons and the catwalks of London, Paris and New York, recently collaborated with Swatch to produce a colorful symbol strewn timepiece which you can see above. Just check out that eyeball case it comes with. To celebrate she teamed up with Swatch Club for this video, animation is by Weirdcore – whose videos for Creators Mira Calix, and Josh Hayward’s the Horrors are worth checking out – with art direction from Cassette Playa and soundtrack by Silverlink. An embracer of our digital age, Carri often references web culture and video games in her sci-fi influenced work and is the first designer to feature an augmented reality fashion show: a collection of her t-shirts feature a small tribal symbol which when viewed through a mobile phone or webcam can be altered by adding virtual text, patterns etc. You can keep track of what else she’s up to over on her blog.
