UNKLE Dream Up Exhibition
Jame Lavelle is not someone who’s adverse to collaborations, usually it’s with musicians for his group UNKLE (they’ll be working with Nick Cave on their next album), but this time he’s turned his talents to curator as he seeks to showcase visual art inspired by music. His music. UNKLE will create original tracks and then assign them to creatives from various disciplines – film, design, fashion – and they will produce a unique work of art inspired by the track. The resulting creations will be collated and exhibited at the Haunch of Venison gallery in London’s Mayfair as part of Daydreaming with…James Lavelle on the weekend of 27 to 30 August. Some of the names involved will be Massive Attack’s 3D, Warren Du Preez and Nick Thornton Jones who directed the video for UNKLE’s Where Did The Night Fall, Jonas Burgert, Ben Drury, Polly Borland and many more.
