At Coachella 2011, Chris Milk, with the help of Arcade Fire and a bunch of beachballs, turned the summer into dust.

Where did your Summer Into Dust beachball go?

We want to know where your beachball ended up. Send photos, stories, or videos of your beachball, or your experience at the show, to summerintodust@thecreatorsproject.com.

How to change the battery on your beach ball

  1. Open the circuit stack. Be careful not to break the gray ribbon cable.
  2. Inside you'll find 9V batteries. You can get new ones from any convenience store.
  3. Swap them out and you're good to go.

You can also power it from a wall wart power adapter up to 12V maximum. In order to do so, you'll need to attach a 9V battery adapter to a wall wart such as this one.

Make sure you connect the positive cable of your adapter to the red cable of the 9V battery adapter or else it won't work. In doubt, try both ways.

You can connect only to one of the battery holders on the circuit. You don't need to connect to both of them.
